Showtime in my opinion is.....

gonna be the first flop in the Sims series. NOBODY wants social interactions in their game. Not everybody has a Facebook. EA is trying to make people get one. Plus, there is a whole bunch of closet simmers, and EA is basically forcing them to come out of the closet. Sending a sim to a friend's game is stupid. You are pretty much are gonna get corrupted cc, viruses, and porn out of it. Just look at the exchange.

Plus, the other stuff is pretty stupid and it should of been in Late Night. For example, what's a band like without a lead singer? What a club's like without a DJ? I am not wasting 40 dollars to buy an EP for playing half the features.

So, I go to the Sims 3 wall page, leave a comment on a post about Showtime, and say

I'm not buying this shit.

EA are just greedy bastards. They are doing this to get more money even though nobody wants this.

I am gonna start saying this: DON'T BUY SHOWTIME! IF NOBODY BUYS THIS, THEN EA WON'T GET ANY MONEY. IGNORE ALL DEALS MADE FOR THIS.

If Maxis were actually doing the Sims 3, they won't allow this of bullshit. They'll give us seasons instead.

THIS WILL BE THE WORST EP IN ALL THE SIMS SERIES.

I hate the sound of this ep so much.

    ETA:

You should read my current post in the "Showtime" thread on Simstopia. Someone on the officials makes, what I think is, a good point that the social interaction is probably going to be through Origins in-game chat feature, which we already have (since Generations).

But like I told her, until EA actually comes out and says it's through Origins, everyone is going to assume and speculate that it's through FB/Twitter, but EA most likely won't say it's through Origins because they assume players are using the in-game chat feature when in reality...not a lot of users are.

Than again...maybe they DO know not a lot of people are using the feature and this is their way of bringing in more traffic to that feature...

  3. Honestly, I think that this expansion will be epic! It looks so good. Magicians? Awesome! Stages? Awesome! Sure, it's probably what should have been added to Late Night, but this is EA's chance to redeem themselves, I would buy the game just for the clothes and hair too, but I will probably like it all. It seems the expansions people are most excited for, don't always do the best, and the opposite goes for expansions people look down upon. Give it a chance.

  4. Once the game comes out and I see how it does with the people that buy it right away...I may buy it. This wouldn't be the first time an EP, or SP, has changed my mind. :D

When FLS was announced...I hated the idea, same with Pets. But here I am...with FLS and wanting Pets. LMAO

So even though I am saying I doubt I'll get it now, there is the chance the game could change my mind once it's been released---or even once we see more gameplay videos/info. :D

  5. Logan- First of all, those are just half of the features on this ep. The other half are the social features. I don't wanna pay for a game where I know I am gonna play half of the features. Another thing is that DJs, Magicians, and the singers are gonna be professions. It is gonna be like Late Night/Ambitions mixed together. I honestly find Ambitions boring. I got bored from the first 3 days from playing it. I honestly don't think that there is anything that can change my mind.

There is a reason why EA didn't put them in Late Night. It's because EA is so greedy. If not of people buy it, then we can send a massage to EA telling them don't be greedy. Listen what the fans want.
